Brittany Murphy's mum has spoken publicly for the first time since her daughter's death.
Sharon Murphy, along with Brittany's widower Simon Monjack, told People magazine that they believe she died because of a congenital heart murmur.
"She had a little bit of a cold," said Brittany's mum of the days leading up to the actress' death in December 2009.
